If you already somehow landed on these pages, you are probably wondering what is the purpose of all these “writings on the wall” and how someone (me) spends that much time actually writing things on various topics. The truth is that if someone told me about 5 years ago that I’d develop some sort of a small addiction to content creation because of my current profession, I would have been very doubtful this would happen. 

Professional Trajectory: From Content Planner to Global Marketing

At about that time, I started working at my current company, and at one point when we were assessing the different roles in our team, my assessment read “doesn’t have any experience in writing, not suitable for this”. 

As of right now, I’ve put that note far far behind not in my mind but in real life. I’ve got 4 years of being the content planner of our company (1-StopAsia) in my position as Global Marketing Manager, a book published with my team in there, several publications in various magazines and I regularly create content for our company blog. And somehow I discovered I enjoy it so much, that now when I have stepped into a higher position, I can’t go without it. 

It all started with the need for us to have quality content published back then and my thorough research on that topic along with the niche that we covered and the lack of resources for that niche. On top of that, my boss had a dream – to have a book published for the translation and localization industry. And so my journey in content creation began…

The Evolution of Voice: From School Diaries to Digital Assets

I grew up as a teenager in the 90ties and back then there were no blogs or that easy and flawless access to technology. Internet was something people started whispering about and the computer we had for a few days, well… it was more of a calculating machine than a computer actually. 

One thing that I still remember and to be honest I hold dear to my heart are the “modern” diaries and the questionnaires we passed from person to person at school for our friends to fill in for us. 

I keep them at home and they bring so many nice memories and are such fun to revisit from time to time. Personal blogs don’t “smell” the same but they do have a similar value for me mainly because it is your own choice which direction to take and what to share with the rest of the world.

There is no way I write about “the right to talk” without sharing some insight on the meaning it actually brings to me. I failed to mention that the 90ties where I live were highly influenced by the fact that were a part of post-socialist Bulgaria where we had 45 years of heavy community censorship and rule. Luckily for me, I am part of the transition period with only 9-10 years of my life under the totalitarian regime but it has left its mark on me. I do clearly remember that feeling of being watched over from all around you as well as always being careful, even as a child how everyone will perceive you and watching out what you are saying every single moment even in your own home. The feeling that even “walls can hear you” has a different meaning when you’ve gone through such a period in your life. 

After all of the above, you’ll gain an understanding of how important the right to speak is, and what is its value for me. The fact that you are actually free to share what is on your mind along with the possibility of being heard is a precious gift I appreciate a lot. 

The Strategic Core: Why I Established the Polymath Hub

We come to the moment where I have to make a point here as to why I created this blog and to be honest this is not a single-answer question as it brings up the complexity of my personality. 

To sum up, I do have the urge to share and write about my experience through life as it happens and I have decided it is about time to show it off. 

Along with that, I decided that some of the experience I have might help someone in their own undertakings. If one small issue I’ve solved as a professional could help a talented person in their career, I’d have fulfilled my goal as I truly believe in the expression “sharing is caring”. 

Last but not least, I have a passion for it and somehow I just can’t leave it out of my daily life because this is who I am and I would love to show it to the world around me without any expectations of what happens next.
